RAINMASTER ECO/MULTI RAINWATER HARVESTERS

Rainwater is Ireland's most abundant natural resource, yet at times many parts of Ireland suffer from mains water shortages. The BMS Rainmaster series of Rainwater Harvesters utilises your roof & gutters to collect rainwater and can provide up to 52% of your water requirements.

The collected rainwater can be used for a variety of non-potable applications such as toilet flushing, clothes washing, gardening, as process water & for other cleaning.

Soft rainwater can decrease detergent use, increase the lifespan of household appliances and clean cars with no streaking. Further treatment options such as UV filtration are available

How Does The Rainmaster Eco Harvester Work?

Rainwater is collected using your roof & gutters. The soft rainwater is then funneled to an under/over ground GRP collection tank where leaves and other debris are removed by are patented jump filter which ensures 98% capture of available rainwater. The rainwater then percolates slowly upwards from the bottom of the tank.

When an appliance such as a toilet is flushed the control panel detects the change in pressure and its powerful integral pump switches on. Water is pumped from the surface of the storage tank, which contains the cleanest water via a floating suction pipe, is passed through a microfilter and is then channeled to the required appliance. As soon as the water requirement ceases the pump switches off, thus ensuring minimal electricity use.

One of the unit's features is that it automatically detects if the rainwater supply is running low & if so, automatically switches back to using the mains water supply until the tank is replenished. A schematic diagram can be seen below.

To properly determine the unit & tank size most suitable for your house/premises there are a number of considerations such as roof area, average rainfall, number of occupants/staff and potential uses of the rainwater, which need to be considered. Further options such as UV disinfection so rain water can be used for bathing/body hygiene are available. A specifically designed highly portable & connectable 2,500L tank which fits through tight spaces is available as standard. Any other tank size is available to order.
